Category 1: Best Recording Artist of the Year
To nominate best recording Artist of the Year category, their work must:
- Be positive gospel content based on sound doctrine
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Be commercially released in Kenya within the Eligibility year through recognized distribution channels, not confined to and including a public album launch, radio & TV airplay, YouTube and other digital distribution platforms and broadcast through other forms of mass media.
- Be in either the English or Swahili language.
- Have national appeal
- Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- Demonstrate Christian integral values.
Category 2: Budding Artist of the Year
To nominate the Budding Artist of the Year, their work must:
- Be positive gospel content based on sound doctrine
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Be commercially released in Kenya within the Eligibility year through recognized distribution channels, not confined to and including a public album launch, radio & TV airplay, YouTube and other digital distribution platforms and broadcast through other forms of mass media.
- Be in either the English or Swahili language.
- Have national appeal
- Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- Demonstrate Christian integral values
- Have gotten their first breakthrough within the eligibility period.
Category 3: Worship leader of the Year
To nominate Worship leader of the Year, the individual must:
- Espouse the essence of worship
- Lead congregation praise & worship
- Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- Demonstrate Christian integral values
- Be an existing member of a recognized church and Praise & Worship team
- Have demonstrated leadership in congregational Praise and Worship.
Category 4: African artist of the Year (Non-Kenyan)
To nominate African Artist of the Year, their work must:
- Be positive gospel content based on sound doctrine
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Be commercially released in Africa within the Eligibility year through recognized distribution channels, not confined to and including a public album launch, radio & TV airplay, YouTube and other digital distribution platforms and broadcast through other forms of mass media.
- Have an African appeal
- Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- Demonstrate Christian integral values
- Be a citizen of any African country other than Kenya
Category 5: Choir of the Year
To nominate the Choir of the year, their work must:
- Be positive gospel content based on sound doctrine
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Be commercially released in Kenya within the Eligibility year through recognized distribution channels, not confined to and including a public album launch, radio & TV airplay, YouTube and other digital distribution platforms and broadcast through other forms of mass media.
- Have national appeal.
- Be members of an existing recognized church choir.
- Be living an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- Demonstrate Christian integral values.
Category 6: Band of the Year
To nominate the Band of the year, their work must:
- Be positive gospel content based on sound doctrine
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Be commercially released in Kenya within the Eligibility year through recognized distribution channels, not confined to and including a public album launch, radio & TV airplay, YouTube and other digital distribution platforms and broadcast through other forms of mass media.
- Have national appeal
- Belong or be affiliated to a recognized church
- Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- Demonstrate Christian integral values
Category 7: Song of the Year
To nominate Song of the Year category, the song must:
- Be positive gospel content based on sound doctrine
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Be commercially released in Kenya within the Eligibility year through recognized distribution channels, not confined to and including a public album launch, radio & TV airplay, YouTube and other digital distribution platforms and broadcast through other forms of mass media.
- Be in either the English or Swahili language.
- Have national appeal
Categories 8 - 13: (Western/Eastern/Coast/Central/Nyanza/Great Rift) Artist of the Year
To nominate the Western/Eastern/Coast/Central/Nyanza/Great Rift Artist of the Year category, the artist must:
- Be positive gospel content based on sound doctrine
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Be from the specified region and the artist either by birth or residence
- Be performed in a language that is common to that region
- Have the style of the song indigenous to that area
- Be commercially released in Kenya within the Eligibility year through recognized distribution channels, not confined to and including a public album launch, radio & TV airplay, YouTube and other digital distribution platforms and broadcast through other forms of mass media.
Category 14: Songwriter of the year (Artist)
To nominate songwriter of the Year category, the artist/writer must:
- Have a track record of consistency in writing sound, positive gospel music.
- This Award goes to the writer of the song
- The writer of the song could also be the recording artist.
- The individual must Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- The individual must Demonstrate Christian integral values
- Have an Impactful Testimonial
Category 15: Media personality of the Year (Presenter/DJ/VJ)
To nominate the Media personality of the Year, the individual must:
- Be either a Presenter, DJ or VJ on an existing mainstream TV / Radio station
- Be on a current music and entertainment Gospel TV/radio program
- Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- Demonstrate Christian integral values
- Demonstrate exemplary presentation and content delivery skills
- Have an Impactful Testimonial
Category 16: Content Developer of the Year (Audio/Video) Producer
To nominate the Content Developers (Audio/Video) Producer of the Year:
- The quality of the audio/video must be clear and of high production quality
- The production content must be relevant, inspiring, hopeful, enriching, impactful and of sound doctrine.
- The video must display high standards of creativity and originality
- The individual must Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- The individual must Demonstrate Christian integral values
- Have an Impactful Testimonial
Category 18: Online Gospel Influencer of the Year
To nominate the Online Gospel influencer of the Year:
- The online content must be positive gospel content
- The individual must have online content that is relevant, inspiring, hopeful, enriching, impactful and of sound doctrine.
- The individual must Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- The individual must Demonstrate Christian integral values
- Have an Impactful Testimonial
Category 19: Non-music Gospel art form of the Year (Poetry/Spoken Word/Film/Dance)
To nominate the Non-music gospel form of the Year:
- Be positive gospel content based on sound doctrine
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Be commercially released in Kenya within the Eligibility year through recognized distribution channels, not confined to and including a public album launch, radio & TV airplay, YouTube and other digital distribution platforms and broadcast through other forms of mass media.
- Be in either the English or Swahili language.
- The individual/group must live an exemplary Christian lifestyle
- The individual/group must demonstrate Christian integral values
- Have an Impactful Testimonial
- Spoken word
- Short films
- Dance
- Comedy
- Hype
To nominate: Outstanding Leader in Education
Their work must:
- Demonstrate a life of servitude, integrity, excellence and Christian leadership.
- Be of good sound and/or picture quality
- Demonstrate inculcation of Godly values to students, colleagues or in the institution.
- Be free from accusations of vices that are contrary to the Christian faith.
- Be confirmable from peers and others that have worked with them.
- Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
- Demonstrate Christian integral values.
- Demonstrate support to the Body of Christ at their work place and elsewhere.
- Demonstrate commitment to a local church beyond their regular work.
- Live a life consistent with the faith.
- Command respect and affirmation from peers, especially those that have worked with them closely.
- Not be involved in any known matters that go against the Gospel.
To nominate: Outstanding Christian Leader in Government
Their work must:
- Demonstrate a life of servitude, integrity, excellence and Christian leadership.
- Be free from accusations of vices that are contrary to the Christian faith.

- Have demonstrated open/public confession of their Christian faith.
- Live an exemplary Christian lifestyle.

- Demonstrate support to the Body of Christ at their work place and elsewhere.
- Demonstrate commitment to a local church beyond their regular work.
- Live a life consistent with the faith.
- Command respect and affirmation from peers, especially those that have worked with them closely.
- Not be involved in any known matters that go against the Gospel.
